The privet hawk-moth is the largest of all the moths likely to be seen in a garden,in the UK with a wingspan of up to 12cm. Like other hawk-moths, it is powerful and fast flying. The body and the hind wings have pink striped tinges. The fore wings are duller and more brown. It has a black head and white antennae.I found this at my work photographed him, then realest.

You turned a simple moth, not very attractive alone, in a beautiful art work! Congratulations Roger!

An excellent shot of the moth, well composed and very sharpIf it were mine I'd crop out the red in the lower right corner, or just fill in with the dark background, as that was the first thing I saw.

Whoa, that's a gorgeous moth and love his colours. What a wing span, that's really big. Fantastic contrast and detail showing him, top notch capture

We had a Lunar Moth once on our house and it's a little smaller then that one.

I am not a fan of moths but you have made this guy look wonderful! Nice composition. Personally I like the dash of red in the corner.
