First nice day in the uk,so back to the park. This is a shot of the old trees and rocks. The rock outcrops were created in conditions varying from volcanos rising out of the ocean. The first mention of Bradgate Park is from 1241, by which time it was laid out as a hunting park, but no more it was given to the people of Leicestershire.

Roger, this is a lovely image and great composition. When looking at this in full screen, I can just picture in my imagination that old tree with no branches looks like a bird taking flight off of a tree trunk.

The trees have been ravaged through the years Roger. They look like soldiers returning from the battles where some lost limbs.
Good rugged shot.

The reason why the sunsets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB

It's a very interesting composition. The stark, dead tree at top is dramatic, as is the rock outcropping. The trees behind it add appealing detail and the flawlessly clear sky is a cheerful element. Well done.
