This is the castle i was stood next to when i took the photo of my last castle photo....St Mawes Castle and its larger sister castle, Pendennis, were built as part of a defensive chain of fortresses by Henry VIII to protect the south coast of Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. This chain of coastal fortifications are known as Henrician Castles or Device Forts.

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB

Clear shot, Roger. Here we can see the castles located on perfect places for defence.

It is a great shot Giz. I like the colors, clarity and the placement of the castle in the scene. It looks great full screen.

This one may be smaller but it is so much better. The colors and details just jump right off of the screen. Very well done and faved.

This is a great shot. It is probably bigger than it looks. This is a nice sharp capture.

Some people have Gurus, I have my camera. Through the cam lenses I have learnt to deeply perceive life, not only to see, but to look at all expressions of nature, becoming able to read the poetry of the flowers, receiving the embrace of the trees and flying above the clouds without wings! - Susie Sun

Looks like you got there none too soon, Roger. The French Fleet is approaching and you captured the moment. Seems like a rather small invasion force so you should be able to fend them off yourself. A nice capture of the fort. Good lighting in the scene and lovely colours.
