Although the sky blew out on you, the landscape image is a fine one, from the detailed oak leaves in the foreground to the distant misty mountains. (Although I'm not quite ready for fall colors just yet, lol!)

I agree. The sky was lost at the expense of the colour and detail of the foliage and close elements, which form a nice natural arch leading to the rolling valley and trees below. Good shot.

I find the contrast between the too light sky and the trees being too dark, just too much of a difference. I do like the scene, maybe try again? New York has such beautiful Fall colours. Here in Oregon it's starting too. Verena

Another suggestion for the sky... try using "Dunstickin'"'s 'darkening skies tutorial'... if you have Photoshop! :o)

Wow I wish I had a way to darken the sky, I see what you all mean... does anyone have any ideas?? I'm using Pixelmator.
