Well, I was going to do this in sepia... but somehow this seemed to stand out more to me. All comments and tips appreciated, and I do love that clock. Just a note, the wall was originally yellow.
Hey Gem,
When I saw this in the New images gallery, I couldn't resist clicking on it and leaving some support, (~8 8~)
It is wonderful, very beautiful, the old look and special mood have an amazing effect on me,
No need for sepia indeed, the colors suggest a lot,
You have done a fine lovely job here,
Ooooh, I like! The colours are so subtle and lovely... actually... the more I look at it the deeper it becomes. Symbolism: time, the clock, and burning candles. Light and shadow across the wall and the clock... Niiiice.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

This is absolutely beautiful...and I have a suspicion that I'd like it on the yellow wall, or in sepia... whatever the color, the wall is going to show those wonderful gradations and the clock ain't gonna change!
And very nice work Gemma on the post-sweetening. Hmm, methinks you have sum skillz after all.
Wait a sec ... you been holding out on us? >:o|
Excellent work. My only caveat would be the slight glare and reflection. Easy fix with the clone stamp tool.
Next time, that is. Kind of adds something to the 'high' concept here.
Any thoughts to a companion piece to this one? Not a substitute to be clear ... but your focal subject is worthy of another, that's for sure. Grab some more details ... add your magic ... maybe then?
