This unidentified tree has slowly pushed it's roots through solid limestone, & has found a secure home at the top of the Avon Gorge amongst the ivy. These trees, & vegetation slowly crack the Gorges exterior loosening the rock. So every year the council shuts off the busy Portway road, & a specialist team of climbers break away the loose rock keeping it safe for climbers, & people below !!

Hey, Flossie! You've captured Nature at her most stubborn. It's unusual, though, to see that man is actually helping for once! Great shot, my friend.

We don’t make art to show someone what something looks like. All this requires is eyes (or a lens). Art is supposed to have meaning, emotion, power, or magic. Alan & Mario "FourThirds"

Talk about determination. It is amazing to see trees hold their own against gigantic boulders. Well done.

Nature 1 - Man 0. Just shows how insignificant we are doesn't it? Good picture Phil.

Those trees just grow anywhere the feel like it, huh? I like this picture...that old tree is gorgeous, and I like the way the branch on the right stretches all the way to the right of the shot...well almost. Good one, Phil.
