Apart from being busy with work at the moment, I'm also suffering from genuine writers block midway through the Earl series So I thought I'd upload another shot from my Inner City Neighbourhood.

Photography is much more than pretty, cute, colourful or HDR/RAW enhanced images. Essentially photography's only required to accurately reproduce images of real life. This photograph was shot in Warwick road a minute's walk from this previous upload. The Council Dustmen only collect rubbish fortnightly in Bristol now, & many small local traders simply fly tip their rubbish locally. :o(

I know phasmid will enjoy this one, & perhaps Jhihmoac will too, maybe the subjects too low brow, & alien for the Artopolis Times though. Maybe I'm wrong Ron perhaps you have foreign correspondents employed on the journal too. :o)

Fantastic stuff again Phil.

No trees were killed in the sending of this message. However, a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced. Everyone has photographic memory; some just don't have the film. COME ON YOU GREENS, UP THE ARGYLE.....

Well Phil with this capture we could say what a load of rubbish!!! But I wouldnt be referring to your photographic expertise, but to the bins of rubbish on this capture! Despite the councils not halving our council tax for half a job done, I think it a crying shame that it has come to this.......... you've got me on my soap box now!!!!! Sorry.
You have caught here the real people in the real streets of a real town, with a near perfect sky and wonderful lighting! Well done!

As Ann has said here we have real people, real houses, real garbage. This could be Liverpool, Macclesfield or even New Brighton. A great shot Phil.

Phlossie I am in complete agreement about real life photos. I have learned how to improve a photo (I think) in the editing room but I still like the way it is photos, instead of the way it should be. I think we need a category where high lines are not found intrusive. I like this real look at the inner city shot. Nice post.

Interesting shot. I think that guy used to play for the Cleveland Browns football team. I wondered what happened to him. Probably playing soccer now. This is a very good "off the beaten path" picture. Well done.

I was just thinking the same thing as Cynlee. You think this is outta control? I could show you...but, naw...this is RAW enough for my tastes and I already packed my soap box away for my upcoming trip to Washington, but I think you might have a job with Mr. Maniac...sounds like a match made in heaven.

Phlossie, over-the-pond correspondent. I'm already the country cousin side of the Artopolis experience.

We don’t make art to show someone what something looks like. All this requires is eyes (or a lens). Art is supposed to have meaning, emotion, power, or magic. Alan & Mario "FourThirds"

Nice piece of documentary photography, Phil. You've said more that a two-page letter to the editor. I think you also need to find a narrower sounding to reach more locals to let them know that the world is watching their neighborhood. Ypu need to use both edges of the sword.
