Another shot of the Greylag Geese, this is the last you'll see of the 2nd brood so wish them goodbye now.

My passion for this series has expired, there's two more shots I'd planned to upload ... perhaps I persevere on as Englishmen often do unless someone has a valid strong objection. :o)

Wishing all my Yankee cousins a happy 4th of July. :o)

I'd love to hear some funny jokes right now, do Americans have a GSOH ? there'll be a special award for the best joke. Personally I think the rudest ones are the funniest but I'll bear in mind this is Caedes !! :o)

I can't think of a joke right off hand. Judging from the scores I have been getting on my posts, I would say just look at any one of them for a good laugh. LOL. Nice shot again of the Duck family.

Boy Howdy...I never realized that Cagney couldn't sing! Now there's a laugh.

And since I have a Good Sense of Humor, here's another one:

Two men are out goose-hunting with a six-pack of beer they got from the local bar. The first man spots some geese and shoots, felling one. He orders his dog out of the boat to fetch the goose. The dog jumps out of the boat and walks right across the water to retrieve the goose. He gets back to the boat with goose in mouth, perfectly dry.

The dog's owner asks the other man, "Did you notice anything special about my dog?". The second man says, "Yeah, he can't swim".

And your title: Showing Our Best Side

Mission accomplished, sir!!

Big brother's watching you :o) A mistreated dog should try to leave a deposit on their masters best carpet, after all it's important to establish who's boss ... Welcome to the last resort. :o)

How do you get a Kleenex to dance?
Put a little boogie in it.

I know, it's an old one; it's still a good joke.

I'm not much of a fan of geese, but the clarity, lovely composition, and level of interest this series holds is bold and well done.

Peace

I'm a little curious about the translation of what Mama-san is saying in this one. I bet it's the Mother's Curse: "When you grow up, I hope you have a little boy just like you."

You will be able to squirt it much farther as you get older seems to be what she is saying.

This is not a joke but it is what my dad always said right after he let a big fart. "....and the goose walked on."

Seems to fit. Nice post Phlossie.
