There are actually about eleven Greylag Geese in this family.

I spent my entire time sprawled on the grass tactically throwing pinches of bread at short or long distances when the time was right. I always prefer to use the cameras conventional eyepiece when shooting photos, but this time the lcd viewfinder was twisted out, & used with the camera body almost laid on the grass.

These fine birds are bold as brass, & thought nothing of making body contact with me (especially the parents) In this shot they are getting a little too close. :o) It seems this family had two broods, I imagine a plentiful food supply played an important role in this decision.

I've got this Sunday off .. have a nice day, tutty bye now folks .. Phlossie

Thanks for your kind comment Sandi. :o) .. however it seems the jokes on my last upload were a little sparse, & lame, no disrespect inferred. You must read this joke below b4 passing comment on this upload, come on now rules is rules only Sandi's let off

This is Captain Sinclair speaking On behalf of my crew I'd like to welcome you aboard British Airways flight 602. If you look out of the windows on the right hand side of the plane you'll observe the two engines are on fire, & if you look through the left hand windows you'll see the wing has been torn off. Also if you look to the ocean below you'll see three people waving to you from a yellow lifeboat. That's me the co-pilot, & one of the air stewardesses. This is a recorded message have a good flight.

Clarity and Detail are Awesome Phil.
Great Capture of these Little Beauties.
Flight 602 sounds like an Episode of the "Twilight Zone".
I'll take the Train.
Thanks for sharing your Greylag Geese.

I never tire of seeing your images, as each one is unique in itself. The clarity, light and colour is so true to life that these birds look like they could just fall off my screen into my lap!!! Brilliant work indeed, and yes you've guessed - Fav'd!!! Thanks for sharing!
