Whenever visiting Slimbridge I always get a kick out of feeding the young independent Swans who hang out in teenage groups. Walking amongst them loaded with bread is not recommended for the weak hearted, or vulnerable as a good beaking is practically guaranteed !! This is my parting shot from the WWT having off loaded my bait, it seems this Swan was reluctant to see me go. :o)

I'm dedicating this upload to : PJ / phasmid you told a pretty good joke lately, sorry for the late mention, & poor rating boss. :o( Expect to see the cookie jar wash up ashore in about a fortnight !!

Great shot Phil but your chum in the picture is but a lamb compared to THIS.

From the look on it's face...that's a swan on a mission. I hope you still have both your kneecaps. Great shot, Phil.

Love swans they are among my favorites and how graceful they are in the water they look so bulky on land. This is a great shot of him/her. Well focused and good detail and color. Way to go Phil. I probably would be there handing out crumbs too. :)

Looks like it is single of thought as it heads your way Phlossie. Maybe he didn't like your infatuation with the Duke. I wouldn't turn my back if I were you. Nice post.

That IS a pretty determined look. I'd sleep with one eye open for a while, if I were you. ;^)

This is a lovely shot of this swan. I like how you can even see the droplets of water down its body. Well done!

Hey! Thanks for the mention and the link. I'm not sure why you linked to that pic, but it happens to be one of my favorite ones.

I think this guy has spotted my cookie jar (I'm still sitting here on the shore waiting for it) :(
