The Bewick Swan is slighter smaller than the Mute Swan, & only eats vegetation, it has no interest in bread at all !!

Whenever I've come across them they have always been laid back, & very civil towards me. :o) They generally breed in Siberia where they've been experiencing problems lately. :o(

Enjoy this gentle creature, & have a good weekend .. Phlossie

Such a wonderful image of him/her. They are so graceful but look rather cumbersome on land. Look at those large feet! :)
Great image Phlossie. ♫ :)sandi ♪ ♫

Thanks for the comment Sandi
You maybe surprised but they are still graceful on land, this particular Swan wasn't walking at all it was simply standing on one leg. It was doing this for ages I'm not kidding !!

Big brother's watching you :o) A mistreated dog should try to leave a deposit on their masters best carpet, after all it's important to establish who's boss ... Welcome to the last resort. :o)

Gas makes them do that. LOL.
They're not so elegant out of water.
Good Detail and Color Phil.

Sir Floss, one gets the impression that this one was saying "If that damn Flossman gets any closer I'll swing my left one at him!!!"

Another great capture Phil, timing and those ever so interesting links are becoming your trademark!!!

Seems like a long ways to go to get the cold shoulder. Good post Phlossie and put the Duke on the job. A new species would be nice. Have a good weekend.

He was probably hoping that if he stayed real still you'd get your shot and be on your way!

Did it work?

Nice job, FlossMan!

You can't go wrong with a swan as your model. Always a great image.
