You may have seen a shot from this location b4 but this upload is slightly different. I've deliberately taken a floor shot here to include the pavement to emphasize the vacant space, while the cyclist was a bonus.

As for a choice of music I think Unfinished Symphony fits the bill nicely. :o) .. goodnight viewers.

I'd be a proud as a peacock to live in one of them luxurious suites. I bets that the shopping district there is full of fancy stores with stuff for half a buck.(Don't know what that is in UK money.) I bet there is even a community lulu, or what ever it is you call a latrine over there. I guesses though that I will have to dream on, a cause I don't think I can afford ta lives in a neighborhood that classy. Better stay in the trailer park, I reckon. Nice shot, Phil.

A nice contrast between the stormy looking clouds and the blue skies. The town allmost looks deserted. Nice capture.

Such a contrast of beautiful sky and the harsh reality of urban living. The clarity is spot on! sandi♥

Thanks for sharing your part of the World Phil.
The sky is Killer and the Cyclist seems to have a Butt Crack Problem. LOL.
Like your New Avie.
Looks a lot like Marty Feldman or Mr. Bean. Sorry, not wearing my glasses.

I think the cyclist is of a different persuasion than Frogz realizes. Buttcrack is not a problem. Great clear shot and I particularly like the Give Way signs. Ours are Yellow and say Yield. I think I like yours better. I feel like a member of the neighborhood now Phlossie. Great post.

I love the sky against the buildings! The beauty of the natural sky against the umm not so beautiful building to the left really catches my eye. Although the street off from the corner shop looks as though its not too bad. Unless like round here is some towns, streets like this house a multitude of bed sits and undesirables. I like that you took it from the angle you did. Faved. Harroollllld ( sorry its the avatar sets me of into Steptoe Wilf mode I will be randomly saying Dirty ole man tomorrow now lol)

Now, when you had a link to Unfinished Symphony I thought we were in for a lovely bit of Schubert's Unfinished! But, no we can't have everything can we? What we do have is a really well taken photograph that tells its gritty story really well.

No matter how good the picture is, with a soundtrack like that, it pales into insignificance :-). One of my top tunes of all time. Glastonbury2008, they blew me away.... anyway, keep up the good work! Have you tried this shot in b/w, or some derivative of a channel split? I like these kind of detailed static images in contrast high b/w shades. But what do i know . . . . :-)

Hard work never killed anybody, but why take a chance?
