This Swan can be easily found on the Canadian West Coast, they were common across all North America once but heavy hunting for their meat, & feathers led to their disappearance. :o( They are larger than the well known Mute Swan, & make the loudest call too, hence their name. :o)

I didn't realize the swans were so tasty. I have never seen swan on the menu. Now the ugly duckling, that's another story. Beautiful shot Phlossie and I might have to sample one. lol.
