The bells rang out at 19:00. :o)

I simply uploaded this jpg of the ancient 13th century church spire at Slimbridge for your enjoyment only. The angle appears off but is actually true, & less than 0.5 of a degree out. There are a lot of windows stone bricked in, this is perhaps because even the church of England wasn't exempt from window tax.

Speaking of windows the late Sir Peter Scott has a clear glass window dedicated to him here. :o)

This couldn't be called a wallpaper image but I've uploaded it in extra large size so you can explore it more closely . . Bye now

I find the window tax quite interesting. Maybe that answers my question from the other post. lol. Good angle and you give a true feeling of size of building. Good evening shot Phlossie.

It doesn't matter a bit if the spire looks tilted a bit. I think it adds an artistic touch to it. Very nice.

Hmm. Explains some of where Americans got the idea for taxes. Next it'll be air that's taxed. I love the sky in this and that steeple is really neat.
