The above mentioned man, only son of Scott of the Antarctic saved the native Hawaiian Nene from extinction in the 1950s. He was not only a leading Wildlife Conservationist but a talented artist too. Sir Peter Scott painted this very large oil on canvas in 1965, it now hangs at WWT Slimbridge.

Great information and photo of painting Phlossie. We are having a lot of layoffs here as well. It will get worse before it improves I am afraid. I hope it doesn't end like the song.

Phine shot of this well done painting, Phlossie! I think the employed here are lucky to be so and most of them know it. Liked the song link. I've never heard that one before (b4).

This painting would look great on the wall of the den of a great outdoorsman. Right next to the fireplace and the gun cabinet. It's a super work of art.

Good morning all you generous Caedes commentators I'm pleased you all have enjoyed Scotts work.

It's well gone 02:30 in old Blighty, firstly a special thank you to Toto_san, & Catharina1 it's a rare priviledge to have a comment from you.
Now listen up I've been enjoying more than a few drinks with an old friend who hasn't made a comment on Caedes 4 some time now !
Very old friends of mine will remember him, but I'm posting a comment here on his laptop while he's crashed out asleep [this new Vista sucks !] :o)
So may I proudly reintroduce Mr .... nah I ain't saying folks, perhaps he'll comment later .. perhaps not
