Last Saturday over 250 thousand people assembled in central London, & marched through Whitehall on the way to Hyde Park where speakers were heard.

The purpose of the rally was to show a visible protest against Tory cuts to the public work force. I went along simply to take photos of the march.

Obviously our country is not the only one suffering from goods being made elsewhere and imported Phllossie. Makes me wonder why we don't take care of our own before we start saving the world. Excellent post.

A picture is worth a thousand words, good one Phil, in a few weeks we will be hearing nothing else but the big wedding event.

It's happening all over the world, if not for cuts of some kind, then unrest with the government of the country. Excellent new worthy shot, Phil.

A quick shutter caught these folks on the move. Hard economy everywhere I guess. The people are fed up. I like your photojournalist shot.

In the words of Ben Elton, "Ladies and Gentlemen, a little bit of politics!" The main march seems to have passed off without incident. The problems came from a tiny minority of people who set out to cause trouble.

What terrific clarity Phil showing the cutting protest! Maybe you ought to be a photo journalist who travels the world taking picture of countries in crises...this is a splendid example of how good you are. I honestly believe you would be excellent at it.

Wonderful shot. I wish I could have attended the protest, although I did suspect that the gov would just ignore it.
