actually same day feb 8, 2011 -- just another tree in my yard. eubeen -- you commented that the first pic needed more light, not sure how to accomplish that on an actively snowing day -- would sincerely appreciate you enlightening (no pun intended) please, thx charlene

Another fine close up of the snowy branches. Good details and clarity in the shot. A nice DOF as well.

A slight increase in contrast or brightness would help here. Lots of mid tones in the image with the flat light make the left hand side a little uninteresting. The tree is much better for both interest and texture.

thx for the comments. i currently have this photo as my background. for me, i kinda like the less details on the left side -- that's the side all my icons are on -- so it works for me -- maybe it will work someone else :) well it's feb 14 and all the snow is gone. . . . . sigh. . . . . hello mud!!
