It was sunny, but below freezing. If you look at the right side of the photo, you can see how the spray froze to the vegitation along the canyon wall. The sun caught the spray to create the rainbow.
When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. - 1 Corinthians 13:11
What a great capture of this beautiful scenery. Love the rainbow over the waterfall and just the whole image is breathtaking, almost as if out of a book or fairyland. This is a 10/10 for me :) Into my fav's this goes.
I love shooting the Mts. and waterfalls in Centeral Oregon, especially around the McKenzie River. Of course my favorite time of year is fall. So many of my images are shot within 100 miles of there. Sahalie Falls are indeed very beautiful and I have shot it often.
I like your capture of it and the rainbow really adds zip to it.

Light is that magical phenomenon that allows us to enjoy the sights of the physical world, and that property granting me the ability to interpret and record the beauties of which are so vital to me: my physical environment. Each of us sees and interprets the world a little differently and I am happy to share my interpretive vision of it with you.
