So there I was steering our rented canal boat through the sluice gates along the Canal du Nivernais in the Burgundy region of France, when I spontaneously grabbed my camera and snapped this photo.

Nice shot, and good subject material. Looks like early morning, and a difficult place to get balanced exposure naturally.The sky and trees area above the lock need darkening(balancing). They're distracting, and draw too much attention away from the main subject. Also the area on the left bank, going down to the water.
