The first time we went to France we rented a live aboard canal boat and floated the Canal du Nivernais in the Burgundy region. Up ahead is the first of 62 locks we also had to navigate on the trip. Near Joigny, France; September, 2009.

Some very fine HDR work in post-photo. I like the depth in this composition, with effective use of the foreground.

A pretty familiar view, Ted. Not only because of the canals/locks but because of the bike too. Well known phenomena, not only in France, but other European countries, like Belgium and The Netherlands (aka Holland), as well.
