It is a beautiful statue, but maybe a different angle would reveal the details better, the clouded sky works really well for the atmosphere though !:)

You did a nice job with the lighting, if it had been sunny, you would miss out on the detail.

i like the shot. it would have been nice if it had been a sunny day. the cloudy sky doesn't allow for a lot of contrast and makes the statue look a little dull

I think this a good shot under difficult conditions. Often it`s hard to get detail in in a statue in this kind of lighting as it`s too easy to underexpose. I think you have done an admiral job.
