your pictures make me feel depressed...they make mine look like-well you know the word- ...but then again they might. Nice job as always on your fairy pics.

You definitely have this a fixation, but a good one. Love the way the scratches help "age" the image. Great work!!

Hm... I basically agree with the first comment at large. ^_^ It's not a good idea to compare oneself with a master though... So I spare myself that headache I think.

One little point to raise here would be that the sense of depth does not extend to the background at all. What I mean is that the flower and the fairy is nicely placed in a separate focal plane, giving nice sense of depth, but the cat and the rest of the background are all seemingly in the same plane, if you get what I'm saying. I'm quite sure I could not pull it off but you could probably make the background more differentiated regarding sense of depth.

Perhaps it's not that big an issue though. Sometimes I see things that no one else on this side of the galaxy seem to notice... :p The patina of the image look good but it's a bit "sharper" in the lines then some of your other "Fey Faux"-pieces.

I wouldn't worry about if other people feel you are using the effect too much. This and your other works are awesome...! I have seen people over-use effects when they seem not to know how to use anything else...but YOU...that's a different story. This works well with what you are doing and they all work as a series! Excellent!

Please forgive me: I want to thank everyone who views and comments my images, I try but it is hard to write individual thank you at times. Please know you are appreciated!

I don't think it's too much at all. The crackle and age always reminds me of victorian "spirit capture" When photography was still so new and mysterious that people didn't question anything they saw on film and photographers use double exposures and fanciful costumes to trick people into thinking photography could capture ghosts, fairys and elves on film. Sorry for the run on sentences, I have a thing for early plate photography. Oh, and I do prefer your edited link.

Hey I'm loving these recent works of yours. Colours and the feeling is nice (in the other pics too). Don't be concerned about the scratches. Just make sure you don't overdo it ;) Little less would do the trick well enough for me. I hope you keep doing these nice fairyworks :)

Hey i'm loving your work there but i was thinking about the whole depth thing in this picture and perhaps the scratches on the surface of this pic giving it the appealing aged look in fact contribute to the lack of depth in this work. My eye seems drawn to the scratches a bit, and they are very two dimensional. I would be curious to see this work without the scratches on it.
