just trying some stuff with capture one. out for a drive in scotland, 20 miles from stirling, my home town, unfortunately it was a bit dark and horrible.
Fantastic sunrise/set, the colors are so vivid! Composition is great, the horizon is approximately where you want it. I really like the texture that the ripples in the water make. I wouldn't worry about it being too dark at all. Like Dunstickin said, it gives some subtle tones, that, IMO, work great with the pastel like coloring in the sky.
The only thing that sticks out to me is that it might be nice to have the person in the picture a little higher up in the image. Although, this may prove tough to do in this instance without sacrificing the horizon positioning.
Great work, thanks so much for sharing! This one's on my desktop and in my fav's :)
"To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
