First of all your subject is near and dear to me. I love trees, and it looks like this is one that stands near a fruit tree, juding from the blossoms that are spread around the base of the tree.

The contrasts and textures in this make for an interesting view, and although it's a little tighter in composition than I'd like, it certainly drives home the point I think you were trying to make.

Excellent close up of these roots! The thing is, it reminds me of my own trees out front. Those darn roots are almost clear to the house now!
