I was hiking by the old welland canal, when I came upon a lock that was crumbling...I really liked the bricks, earth, plants, water...well, I liked the whole scene...thought I'd share it.

Paul, you've captured a really good image here. At full resolution there's far greater contrast in colour and texture between the slabs that are still intact and those that are crumbling away. It's intereresting to see those plants surviving in such a precarious rockface. Good sense of speed and depth to the water too. Very good indeed!!

Interesting photo. I really like the collapse of the brick. It feels like one may drop at any moment.

Great detail in the stonework. Even though it is static, the arrangement of the collapsing wall gives it energy and sense of things to come. NICE !!

Hard work never killed anybody, but why take a chance?
