A most unusual capture, Paul and beautiful focus on the roses. But oh what a sad image. I wonder who left them in such a deserted spot. Nicely done and I also like the soft-focused background, especially the curling wave.

I must confess I had a good cry over this one.

We don’t make art to show someone what something looks like. All this requires is eyes (or a lens). Art is supposed to have meaning, emotion, power, or magic. Alan & Mario "FourThirds"

Very nice depth of field. Nice and sharp on the rose. The wave cresting in the background adds good balance to the rose. The whole image provokes emotion. Something beautiful discarded or lost, So many people in the world can relate. A really good piece of art creates a story in the mind of the viewer. I think you have one here.

this is the most emotional photo that i've seen in a long time. the emotions just start running at the first glance. wow! i think that there isn't really anything else that you would be able to do to capture this image so perfectly. perfect clarity, perfect depth of field, perfect lighting, and of course what a perfect subject and area! i can't say more.
