I have to agree hashashin, this pic is simple enough to make a good background, and I'd add...interesting enough to make an excellent one! I like backgrounds that let me choose whether or not to become engaged in them. You have a nice range of color within a controlled palette, good variation in the cobblestones themselves, and a bit of extra interest in the grass between the pavers. I would like a bit more history...is this an ancient Roman road by any chance?

This is a good desktop - I agree. You can use your imagination - it kind of resembles an alligator or crocodile skin pattern too.I like looking at the various rock shapes within it.
