Another shot from Cape Cod, these are in front of the Chatham Light looking out to sea...Perhaps three were installed to keep a single one from facing each new day alone.
The concept is very interesting -- placing a symbol of our voyeuristic nature amongst the beauty of nature -- but I think I'd go back and reshoot so the contrast wasn't so high. If it were a silhouette only, that might be okay, but as it is, we see a small portion of the base of the viewers and the ocean is completely burned away by the sun, so it seems we're missing something we should be seeing. In fact, I'd try hanging out there for the day and shooting at different times, if only for an experiment in what light changes can do to an image.
Beautiful mixuture of light and shadow and I love the concept of looking out into the "future". You've captured it with a great angle as well. Thanks so much for sharing.
