Beautiful shot! I like the way how you took part of a rock formation and made it into the frame. Wonderful Job!

Good idea using the upper rock like a frame, but the rock walls seem a bit pale the redness in the rocks should have been brighter then it would have been an excellent picture.

Breathtaking vista view.... I can almost smell the rock! While the colors are somewhat subdued I think they also allow for a great sense of depth and pastel like details. There's really a lot going on in this shot. Powerful stuff.

I also at first glance thought the colors are subdued, but then again, the colors in that area are subdued, so I think this is a great shot!

92 percent American teens would die if Abecrombie and Fitch told them it uncool to breathe. Would you be in the 8 percent laughing their asses off at the others?

It's an interesting perspective you've shot this one from; different geologic structures at different distances and the use of the arch overhead to enclosed the distant view. It's a nice image but it's experiencing some challenges. In the movie "The Bridges of Madison County," clint Eastwood plays National Geographic photographer Robert Kincaid. When he first arrives at the bridge in question, he mentions the poor light and takes a few preliminary setup shots, intending to return the next morning when the light may be better. This is a common practice for the serious shutterbug. Looking at your photo I see a variety of clouds and light in the distant sky. I'm assuming the cloud cover was changing that day fairly rapidly (the broken cloud edges indicate a wind up high). By waiting a while you might have had better light arriving to give better contrast to that rock formation in the foreground, bringing the photo to life. Or you might have used some fill flash for the foreground, warming it later in Photoshop. It seems a bit flat here. Likely there was a cloud overhead at the time. Also, your submission is tilted 2 and 3/4 degrees up on the left (as indicated by the distant plateau -- plateaus are almost always level). I took the liberty of downloading a copy and adjusting the tilt, shadows, highlights, color contrast, and sharpness in Photoshop and finished with an Accented Edge filter. The result looks like a painting. I do not mean to demean your photo but sometimes a different treatment can make a big difference. If you'd care to see what I've done to your piece I'd be happy to provide you with a copy. It's just another way of looking at things - not right or wrong.
