The barks remind me of flakes. lol. I like the clarity on this one.

It's a nice idea. The bark is the prime subject material and you might consider cropping off the sky and far shore. Even a few bits and pieces of branches/twigs could be cloned over with water, to give maximum impact.

The texture is great here. And showing well against the water. I also would like to see the little branches cloned out if at all possible. Or just keep the tree and frame it vertically. V

I love how sharp the forground is, I just wish there were a way to make the backgrounda little darker. The water is just brilliant against that bright red though, so I could understand how that might be a litte difficult.
