This image was taken in Moremi Game Reserve in Botswana, during our safari. We were lucky enough to get within 10 feet of this lioness (and 4 others in the pride). They were initially sleeping, but our guide revved the engine of the safari vehicle to wake them up for this shot (pretty scary, but made for great pictures!). Taken with my D70s and an 80-200 zoom lens with a 2x teleconverter (not cropped!)
