I took this today as I was going over Trappers Loop in Utah. Too bad the sun was at such an angle to drop that shadow over its face. Still I was very excited to get a shot at it. Hope you enjoy!
Excellent image, Kim. I agree that it was unfortunate for the shadow, but other than that, focus and colors are outstanding. It is interesting that the moose we see around here are a lighter, more brown color. I can appreciate your excitement. This guy seemed to be cooperative.
I like your photo of the elk! Good detail and clarity on the image! I had to check to see if this was a moose or elk. Like these animals but have never seen one, only deer. I hit 2 deer in a car in Kansas. Poor deer. Thanks for posting this pic Kim! Allen
Nice capture of the moose! I like the way you framed this photo! Its amazing how big these creatures really are when you actually see one in person.

How wonderful to be able to see and photograph such an amazing animal. you're right about the position of the sun, but them's the breaks, as they say.Your title brought back fond memories of the early 60s when the Bullwinkle show was on British TV. It also reminds me of the moose in the opening credits of Northern Exposure.
