This is a picture looking out over the Great Salt Lake from up on top of the Wasatch Mountains taken at the end of June. Water level has been pretty low for the last few years...but the main body of water is beind Antelope Island on the right hand side of the photo.

This is certainly a different perspective than what I have seen of Salt Lake. I have usually seen it from I-80. Great shot, Kim.

This is such an amazing shot! The green foreground is beautiful.
I could only see all of these salt evaporating ponds from a plane! You must have been up really high!! I like the calm reflection of Antelope island in the water.

On top of the world is right. I'll have to show this one to my wife who went to Salt lake for a conference a number of years ago and took a trolley ride up the Wasatch Range, to see if it's familiar to her. Thanks for submitting this one - it's beautiful. The initial blue haze behind that slanting slope clearly illustrates that you are on a mountain, the plain dropping away beneath you. The haze just continues to increase, on to the far horizon. Quite a view you've captured here.

Well worth the view either way.
Just a thought - keep an eye on the horizon; as you might want to apply the meerest rotational tweak to level out the plains/distant mountains.
