This is my first attempt at taking a captivating photo. I am very much an amature but am happy with how the picture came out. I live in a small town in east yorkshire, England and although nothing exciting ever really happens here theres plently of places to take good pics. Anyway, hope you enjoy.

I really like this picture. Looks to me like at least 7 different shades of green. A very relaxing shot.

Imagine you are there
What pretty countryside! The water looks deep and inviting, or maybe I'm just seeing the wind on the surface. Hard not to have a controlled pallette in this scene! I find that pics with many shades of one color tend to last longer on my desktop, as I'm sure this one will. Thanks! Hope to see more of your work.

Excellent composition with the stream curving from centre foreground up to to top third/right third intersection point and the sky running approximately across the top third of the image. I don't know if that was good instinct or knowledge of the *rule of thirds* but it really works well in this photo.
If your area has more of this kind of scene you have some rockin' wallpapers up ahead for us. :)
The interior of that stream is super interesting, makes me want to get over there to Yorkshire and check it out myself. :) The colours on this seem a bit washed out, I'm going to play with it in The Gimp for my own files, if you like I can send you a copy of what I end up with. :)

Not all beauty is obvious.
Beautiful. I really like the different shades of green too. This photo would be better if there was a blue sky but it still is a great shot. Good job.
