Thought this would be a good Friday Posting. Hope you like it.

I took this picture of the Strelitzia Reginae aka: Bird of Paradise while visiting the San Diego Zoo, Jan 18, 2015 while on our holidays. The San Diego Zoo is really beautifully kept and huge, Click Here to see the map.

The only thing I did was bring out more detail and cropped it a little. Just love the gorgeous colours of this blossom.

Hope this brightens up your screen some, we've had so much snow & bitter cold, I am ready for spring right now. Running out of room to put the snow in our front yard, looks like a ski slope.

Still playing catch up, so please be patient. Looking at all the images and commenting on some.

I was asked to work a real big competition this weekend in our city called the: 2015 Ontario Regional Synchronized Skating Championships, so might be busy again, will find out tonight, actually I am hoping I will not have to do it. Each Team has 20 skaters on the ice at the same time weaving their magic. We have 24 teams performing over 3 days, a lot of work. So if I'm not around you will know the reason

I used to golf at Balboa Park many years ago Skates. It was across the road from the zoo.
Thanks for a reminder of days gone by with the beauty of a shot.

most unusual indeed! i think i see i few fellows with a hat like this the last time i was in Ann Arbor..maybe that was a haircut? i dont rightly know to be honest. i do know thats one colorful and detailed shot you have for us.

A magnificent view of a Bird of Paradise Pat. The colors are very nice on this one. They always amaze me and remind me of some exotic bird and I guess thus the name. This is a fine foofy and I hope you have a good time with that skating competition if you have to work it.

I have seen a flower like this in Cornwall but not with fabulous colours like this and great looking close up give of all the detail in this stunning capture .
