Hi everyone, don't panic, I'm not leaving but heading off on a 3 week holiday. We are treating the whole family to this time all together, of course at Disney World. Look out Mickey & Minnie here we all come.

So this is my last posting until September. Will not be commenting while I'm away because family comes first and I need a break, lol.

This Fungus I spotted in our backyard and decided to take a shot of it. If you view in full you can see one little stick is right through the growth in the lower part. I'm thinking it became there from the strong winds we've had, or maybe it just was there when the fungus grew around it. What's your guess.

I just like the different textures all around and the pretty colour of the fungus.

In Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 I brought out more detail, did not touch the colour. Also used iPiccy.com

I love shots like this, Pat. You pulled it off beautifully. Excellent focus and colors.....have a great time with your family, and come back with some great shots of Mickey and Minnie!

That thing looks like a huge ear where inside some animal is looking down. You can see its eyes and black nose! Nice find and capture Pat. Have a nice holiday and see you in September.

Great earthy textures, and I like the white rim on the fungus that really draws attention to it. The bits of green are nice, too.

The last time I saw Mickey was in 1985. Have yourself a wonderful time with family!
