I loved the focus on this gorgeous flower, but I'm not sure how I feel about just how out-of-focus the slightly stormy background is. Maybe a better angle could have been chosen?

What kind of flower is that? It's so pretty. True beauty lies in the imperfections. I love the focus on the flower, such a gorgeous color. The stormy background is just and added element. The sky is a beautiful shades of blues and grays. I'm not overly fond of images that have been tampered with too much, although on this site there are many exceptions. I prefer to see things just as they are. And this is a beautiful image. Just as it is.

I think it is perfect as it is - the flower is very beautiful and all the focus is on it and its great detail.

For capturing the velvety quality of the magnolia blossom, you caught the right angle. Also, the blue grey color of the sky brings out the color of the blossom.

What a gorgeous picture! I like the out of focus background as it brings your subject to the front. Colors are glorious and the lushness of the flower is superb!
