"Imperfection is beauty; madness is genius & it's better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring. And when it comes down to it, I let them think what they want. If they care enough to bother with what I do, then I'm really better than them."--Marilyn Monroe
Wow... I thought the C-index would end up a little more favorable in this one... can anyone offer me some suggestions on how to shoot something like this better for the future?
It looks super to me, and just for the record I vote every 12 hours, and I didn't get asked to vote on this one. You're right. It deserves more than it got. I'm not sure what size does to the score, but I'm beginning to pay more attention to the critical comments I get as well as the ones who like my work, and I'm seeing an overall improvement in my work, and I guess that's what I'm here for. If you go to the discussion boards and search around for the c index discussions, you'll find you are not the only one who has issues and opinions in this area. You are not alone, and this deserves far more than it got!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"I never looked for it, gave it no name; yet I knew it always, when the gift of peace came. I stood quite still for the moment that it lasted...Then the light shifted slightly and the moment passed, leaving me...with the lasting echo of its presence.." Diana Gabaldon
Well I think it came out GREAT! I don't understand the low scores on many, many shots in Caedes. I think anything over a 50 is a compliment now that I've been here a while. I now regret deleting all my lower scored shots. I've noticed a lot of people don't care for vertical shots. You caught the splash perfectly but it does feel like it needs a little more rock on each side to balance the framing a little more. I have no complaints about it being vertical though. The clarity, color and everything else is excellent. It's likely because it feels cut off on the sides. That might could be balanced with an actual frame added too. Dunno, I'd have to try it. Hope that helps.
