2 Apophysis fractals, the center actually being my first fractal ever. I have been doing fractals form a while, I just don't get around to posting them. Then there's a photoshop CS3 jewel, which again is my first ever.
Thanks for the views.
//Oh, just an FYI- I DO know how to tweak rendering, and most things with Apophysis, but I'm fairly sure the JPEG compression took down the quality a tad. The rest of my images from here on pretty much are going to be PNG.

well Will I have no knowledge of fractals or jewels, although I have CS2 - I wonder if there are jewels in there somewhere! :) ....but I have to say the result of your experiment worked out very well - you have created something quite beautiful!

Quite an impressive start. I love mixing mediums like this. I think you are well on your way to establishing a great style with this. Nice job. And welcome to Caedes. -Mike

Its a nice piece of work.. I like the colours and the jewel is a great touch.. the only thing I can see is that it has a lot of grain, this can be fixed in a couple of ways.. adjust the shadow, that will make the image darker, take away the grain and it will make your flame stand out more, or you can run it through neat image, but you have to be careful that you don't over do it and make the flame too soft so it loses the detail.. I would try the increase in shadow first..

Apart from that its good to see you combining different flames, you'll be surprised how many fantastic images you can make with different combinations..

Also when using apophysis try different variations, change the values on the variations try a few different scripts..

Good work for your first attempts.. I look forward to seeing more.. =)

This is pretty good, your jewel is very nice and I like the gradient.

Have to agree that there seems to be some grain in this image. As has been suggested, you could fix it in post-processing, or you can re-render your fractal and do it at higher quality.

Post-processing in a paint program is probably faster, but you'll want to learn how to tweak your render settings at some point. Good luck, Apophysis is a fun program and can be very rewarding.
