Agreed with the above about angle and view. Would have been a cleaner shot withouth the houses, but it works nice this way too. :)

Don't know how I missed this until just now. Excellent shot! I keep wondering what happened to that one crossbar that seems to be missing...its absence makes a great focal point. 10/10 on this one and into my favorites. :)

I just found out that the pier in the center o the photo was placed there in the 1940's and used as a mount for a range finding telescope to help aim artillery in the near by coast artillery batteries.
