.None must sleep! None must sleep! And you, too, Princess, in your cold room, gaze at the stars which tremble with love and hope! But my mystery is locked within me, no-one shall know my name! No, no, I shall say it as my mouth meets yours when the dawn is breaking! And my kiss will break the silence which makes you mine! (No-one shall know his name, and we, alas, shall die!) Vanish, o night! Fade, stars! At dawn I shall win :: Nessun Dorma, Giacomo Puccini:: Luciano Pavarotti now sings with the Angles. Dwight.

My 'puter crashed the other day so I'm trying to get my new one up and running. ;-( This new OS (Vista) is going to take some getting used to. Sorry I haven't been commenting as much as I would like to. ;-) Steve

La Voce è silenziosa.

A beautiful tribute to a great man who brought so much pleasure to so many.
I have listened to this particular aria several times since the news of his death.

Thank you Dwight

Hello Dwight....

Once again.. you touch our hearts with the rays of the heavenly sun.. the dawning...a most beautiful expression of how you feel about this extraordinary 'tenor'..who will be remembered as the 'greatest' tenor... of the twentieth century....

Your photo...combined with the beautiful words above... 'Luciano Pavarotti..."now sings with the angels" ..brings to mind...thoughts of musical beauty...beyond description!!

Again..you have presented a visual presentation...of one which enters my heart and soul with fulfilling enrichment...of the greatest figure in 'opera'...of all time....simply eloquent Dwight...as always...

Your beautiful illustration prompts me to enivision...the magical voice of this outstanding man... a songful version... of him dancing and singing on the 'sun rays'....

We shall all remember this remarkable 'star of the opera'...for all time... very nicely done Dwight....

That is a remarkable picture. I won't say it is as remarkable as the big man Luciano, but it has something impossibly and unexpectedly beautiful...like Pavarotti.
I still listen to Pavarotti CD's now and then and you know what is remarkable? Even without seeing him everyone in the room is awed by that immense voice. Not just me, not jut grandpa and grandpa, but even my own kids (8 and 5 years).
What a monument he was.
Thanks for this image!
