Those caves were created over time from the tide coming in and out. While the tide is out you can actually walk into the caves and check them out, it's quite amazing! The Bay Of Fundy has the distinction of having the highest tides in the world. Those that haven't had the chance to visit I recommend a trip to St. Martins, New Brunswick, Canada. It's a 1 1/2hr from Calais, Maine.
