I realy like this image. The wood grain, frayed paper, and the blurred text of the paper all combine quite nicely. Well done -

A comment request brings a non-photographer here...

Interesting shot. I like the perspective and idea of this and the black and white works well with this subject, of course. The fraying is nice. I can't honestly see the wood grain - it's a bit too bright on my screen. I also find the blur a bit overdone, though I realise it is part of the effect you are trying to produce. It might be interesting to try eliminating the background by taking the shot further down/in, but I'm not a photographer and cannot really say.

It's nice. It would make a satisfactory desktop, I think. I'm puzzled about one thing, though. Why post in this gallery? I think if this is a mistake, you should alter it; if not, perhaps your description could explain the reasoning briefly to the viewer?

Keep up the good work.

You have caught the textures of this picture very well. On the whol;e,i like this a lot. Well done. I especially like the grain you have caught on the table. The fibers in the paper also give it a very highly textured feel. Well done....Again lol.

Too artsy for the common philistine like me to understand. But I have figured out I like the shapes, the way you've arranged the pages to echo the look of wood grain. Good capture of textures, too. I rather wish the top had been cropped just to the top of the topmost curve. That emphasizes the effect.

Hmmmmm. I found myself wanting to read what was on the printed page...it is a quite simple picture...but it draws you in...makes you want to see it enlarged...the paper fibers are captivating...who would have thought to bestow "royalty" on this picture of pulp? Congrats...Bill.
