This plucky little flower was growing in a neglected garden in downtown Seattle. I haven't had much time for Caedes this summer while working in my own garden and dealing with some family health problems. Now that the fall rains have started I will be around more and hope to comment on some of the lovely images you all have been posting. I hope you will enjoy this picture and will have time to tell me what you think of it.

Such vibrant colors on this flower JoAnn ... it is absolutely beautiful. The clarity & detail is superb & I love how you did the framing. A wonderful capture ... very nicely done.

Wow, gorgeous flower, JoAnn but that framing you've done behind and around it is amazingly clever! Lovely sunny shot and isn't it often the case that flora, fauna AND people survive and grow despite - or maybe because of - neglected surroundings? Really good shot - well done!!

So sorry to hear of the family health problems... hope they are much improved? Good to see you posting again. Oh, and be sure to take your umbrella whenever you go out!!

This is one of the prettiest flowers I have ever seen. I really like the way you framed it. I am not very good at framing, but I am observing what others are doing so I can get some ideas. Now I have to find a program to help me. This is very lovely.
