The trees were beginning to get their colour as the promise of warmer days beckoned....all behind us now for another year.

Well-behaved women seldom make history.
Nice contrast between the soft, but speckled water, and the hard (but light speckled) rocks on the bridge rail! And that duck is in a perfect spot to draw the eye on back beneath the bridge.
