A super shot, kinda ugly flower but sure is clear. Wonder what that would taste like? Chicken probably.

Whatever kind it is, it's beautiful Jen. You've captured the delicate side of it very well with great clarity and composition. Looks wonderful against the dark green. Can't help you with a name though. Well done.

A most unusual blossom perfectly presented, Jen. The lighting on the greenery really makes the shot.

What a fantastic plant. I do wish someone knew what it is. This bunch of friends I have here on Caedes sure a dumb bunch when it comes to the names of flowers. Just kidding of course. If it's not a rose, and Iris, or a dandilion I an completely lost. Beautiful image Jeenie.

Great pop of contrast and exposed just right for max detail. Nicely done. I could see this with one of those great frames where the spidery bloom falls over the edge for a fun effect. Wish I knew how to make them as well as Wil and Cindy and some others... anne :-)

Don't tell me it's good, tell me what is good about it. Don't tell me it stinks, tell me what I can do do improve it. Thank you for taking the time to tell me anything at all. Be blessed. anne :-)

I think spidery just about describes it. Someone posted one of these last week and called it by it's name but I can't remember who it was. Captivating flower, isn't it?

I think it is called beautiful. This photo is done very well with the lights and darks dispersed around the photo. The whites are very crisp and distinct. A wonderful photo. Everything in the photo directs me to the white of the picture. One of your best.

Super photo of a curious flower...

I did some research and although cannot find a photo quite as splendid as this one, think I may have gotten close to what this guy might be. What look like long white petals are actually stamens...

Pseudobombax ellipticum (Shaving Brush Tree)

Or perhaps more likely:

Pachira glabra (French Peanut)

Hope this helps to get you on your way to identifying this marvelous flower :o) ~Twig
