Always remember - Follow the Yellow Brick Road, it will lead you to the Emerald City and OZ A very nice place to repose. Trust me on this one, I live there ............The Lion...................... MY GALLERY - The Magical Mystery Tour
I think it is because of the intensity of the white gainst the greenery which makes it hard to get it just right.regardless, I like this because it looks very natural....
Unless you have a really good lens and some megapixels I find it better not to crop very much on an image that I intend to enlarge bigger than it should go. This is a wonderful picture and I like it just the way it is. You can tell he is a large bird at any rate. I just wish I could get some good bird pictures like the rest of you. I'm always at the wrong place at the right time or the right place at the wrong time and at any rate those guys want cooperate with me. I passed by a an owl Monday sitting on a fence post.....no camera....rats.
A nice pic. I agree with Frank, you would lose too much detail by doing a major crop. It's ok to crop RAW images because they are huge anyway. I crop first then resize as to not lose too much quality.
I would rather live my life as if there is a God and die to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't and die to find out there is.

Incredible colour saturation. Rich, vibrant and deep. In other words ... perfect.
I think the setting here provides a wonderful backdrop for your focal subject.
Clarity and detail are most professional. And by including all that surrounds your finely-feathered friend here ... it adds some additional information that is welcomed in this viewers' eyes. Not only visually through the depth that is created, but, by showing the natural habitat.
Hey there Mister Madman, wat'cha know that I don't know
Tell me some crazy stories, let me know who runs this show
Glassy-eyed and laughing, he turns and walks away
Tell me what made you that way
