when an arizonan hears "oak creek canyon" he automatically thinks of slide rock. in days of old one parked along the side of the road, hiked down the hill, walked on the flat rock until he reached the "chute". at that point you'd sit down in the water and push off. you'd then get a great ride and ultimately get dumped in deep water. things have become much more controlled which irritates all of us. nevertheless, it's a fantastic spot. the combination of red rocks and water is beautiful. thanks in advance. please don't use your precious time writing to me.

What a beautiful shot Jen.
You are so lucky to have such magnificant terrains like this. Florida has beauty, but nothing like this....

Great Shot.

There is so much detail to look at in this - the colours of the rock strata is amazing - and combined with the contrasting water and greenery it makes a most splendid view. Thanks for such an interesting and well executed shot - its a winner in my book :)

Cor, this looks like fun, Jen! I'd thoroughly enjoy sliding down the chute. Great shot, especially the contrast between the terracotta and blue hues. You've certainly got some fascinating geology in your region. May we all come and visit?

This is so beautiful, Jen! What a wonderfully high perspective and the waterfall is delightful. The colors are strong and the terrain is awesome. Great shot!

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

Well, I can't help but comment when I see something as nifty as this. Guess I've missed my chance to try this out, but with the old bones it's probably just as well. Great shot!
