Could a rose possibly have more petals than this one? It's wonderful how you have isolated the essence of this beautiful flower and also captured those passional and sensuous shades of gorgeous red!

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

That has to be the most folds I have seen in a flower ever. I find myself studying it over and over. Great capture.

Super Rose...very nicely done.

Oh yeah....Momma studies it over and over...like she does her Kleenex after blowing her nose.

Excellent, Jen. More layers than a red onion and considerably prettier. Your lights and shadows in this rose are wonderful.

I can't imagine how you ever got a rose to exhibit DOF, but you did, and the results are up there for all to see...lovely isn't strong enough !!!

That is the best Rose photo I have seen for a long time. The colours and contrast make a dramatic image. It almost looks 3d.
