Wow, that's quite a sight, Jen! What a thrilling experience that must have been. I saw a couple of these at the zoo the other day behind chain link fencing. Doesn't even compare with being here where these animals live and move around. PJ is right, it does look like a painting, a really remarkable one at that. I love seeing these animals all headed off into the distant landscape, following their age old instincts in harmony with nature. Amazing!

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

Great shot. I'm not sure how you got the look of a painting here, but it is very well done.

It was a pleasure to get this image in the voting booth. Fantastic shot, it must have been wonderful to experience this first hand. I would have been tempted in a slightly tighter crop but it's still superb work, high marks from me.

Cheers.............

How did I not see this before! What a shot. I`v seen this on TV before and would love to see it for real. I love all the colours and the dust kicking up. I gotta say I`m amazed the length they`ll go to avoid gettin snapped....I`m only kidding. A brilliant shot.

You've really captured the tenacity and endurance of these amazing animals. What a shame that the dust clouds they kick up have obscured some of the detail in this shot, leading to a lower rating than this fine image deserves.
